So, what’s the role?
Reporting to the Team Leader of Administration, the Accounting Administration Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing administrative support to the Accounting team, along with assisting reception and front-of-house functions as required.

This is a varied role where you’ll work closely with Directors and staff across the business, supporting corporate compliance, job setups, lodgements, database management and client onboarding processes. You’ll play a key role in ensuring deadlines are met, records are accurate, and the team is well supported.
Here’s what a typical week will look like:

* Preparing and lodging ASIC documents, company minutes and managing corporate compliance requirements
* Assisting with new entity formations using practice management platforms
* Maintaining client records and setting up new clients in Xero Practice Manager and ATO Portal
* Producing ethical letters and supporting client onboarding
* Entering ATO assessment details, issuing correspondence, and managing client lodgement lists and deferrals
* Supporting job setup and engagement processes
* Collating tax and accounting jobs and preparing accompanying correspondence
* Attending to daily ATO lodgements
* Responding to external client and third-party information requests
* Providing backup reception and front-of-house support when required

* Have previous experience in an accounting or professional services administration role
* Understand accounting processes and compliance requirements (or are keen to learn!)
* Bring strong attention to detail, organisation and time management skills
* Are proactive, reliable and comfortable working to deadlines
* Communicate professionally with clients and colleagues
* Are tech savvy and confident using Microsoft Office
* Enjoy working as part of a team
