Key Challenges: Mechanical Expertise Required
About the Role
We are part of a global network, collaborating to profitably and responsibly address some of the world's most pressing issues - resource scarcity, food insecurity and environmental change.
The Yara Pilbara Fertilisers' plant is one of the largest ammonia production sites in the world. Our team has also taken the ammonia process further downstream with the Yara Pilbara Nitrates Technical Ammonium Nitrate (TAN) plant, a joint venture with Orica. Together with ENGIE, we will build a renewable hydrogen plant to produce renewable ammonia.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide mechanical support services across both plants to meet safe and cost-effective production targets.
2. Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance and plant modifications on mechanical equipment.
3. Diagnose and repair complex equipment breakdowns.
4. Monitor task completion in accordance with plans and schedules; report any deviations.
5. Record accurate work history, time confirmations, and technical feedback in our system.
6. Commission equipment in collaboration with asset owners or users.
7. Ensure work is carried out in compliance with relevant laws, safety standards, and policies.
8. Supervise contractor personnel as required.
9. Participate in shutdowns, turnarounds, and continuous improvement activities.
10. Assist in coaching and mentoring apprentices.
