Field Officer (Three Capes Track) – Taranna, South Region. Permanent, full-time position within the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania, Parks and Wildlife Service, Operations.

Award/Classification: Tasmanian State Service Award - General Stream Band 3
Salary: $74,783.00 to $80,835.00 pro rata, per annum
Hours per fortnight: 76.0 hours per fortnight (minimum 60.8 hours, by negotiation)

Responsibilities
* Maintain minor construction of infrastructure, buildings and equipment.
* Supervise and support employees and volunteers in operational tasks.
* Operate and maintain machinery, plant, and equipment safely.
* Assist visitors with information, advice, and safety guidance.
* Work and stay on track for extended periods of up to 10 days.
* Undertake fire operations, risk management, and enforcement of park regulations.
The role involves regular outdoor work, remote locations, and rostered overnight stays at track accommodation nodes.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Successful completion of the fitness assessment at the "Arduous" level (4.83 km walk carrying 20.5 kg in 45 minutes or less).
* A Trade Certificate in a discipline relevant to the duties.
* Remote Area or Wilderness First Aid qualification.
