**Role Description/Criteria**
**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
The primary responsibility of the Marketing Co-ordinator is to promote the College and facilitate communication with key groups. In particular, the Marketing Co-ordinator is responsible for:
- Executing the production of the College bi-annual alumni magazine
- Coordinating the production of the College annual Yearbook; collating and proofreading articles
- Maintaining the College's social media accounts and creating social media content
- Maintaining up to date content on the College website and online Blog
- Producing promotional and advertising material
- Assistance of the College Tour Guide Program
- Administration Support of the Primary School Marketing Program
- Organisation of College promotional and alumni events
- Facilitating and developing the Past Pupils' Network
- Building relationships with local community organisations and media outlets, to generate positive media coverage and word-of-mouth reputation
- Provide communications guidance to staff to maintain brand integrity
- Other tasks as requested by the Principal or authorised delegate
The Marketing Coordinator will have:
- A sensitive appreciation for the Catholic and Salesian ethos of the College
- Experience and/or qualifications in communications, public relations and/or marketing
- Excellent interpersonal and (written and oral) communication skills
- High level organisational, administrative and events management skills
- The ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- A willingness to show initiative and take direction
- The ability to work systematically towards the achievement of strategic objectives
- A creative, imaginative and flexible, yet pragmatic, approach to the implementation of innovate programs.
- A "Working with Children Check" and undertake Police Checks.
**SELECTION CRITERIA**
The successful applicant will demonstrate evidence of the following:
1. A capacity to understand the Catholic identity, Salesian Charism and College values in all aspects of College life.
2. A commitment to Child Safety and the welfare of young people.
3. Degree qualification in relevant field (e.g. marketing, PR, graphic design, communications, journalism, arts)
4. Strong organisational, time management, project management and liaison skills, including demonstrated experience working as part of a team
5. High level interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with professionals from a wide range of backgrounds
6. The ability to demonstrate independent judgement and initiative and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Experience in education, not-for-profit sector or graphic design would also be well regarded.
