Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a mobile diesel mechanic, you will be responsible for providing top-notch maintenance and repair services to our clients in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
* Apply specialized tools and follow documented procedures to diagnose and complete repairs, ensuring that all work is done efficiently and effectively.
* Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engine and related components in the field.
* Elevate unresolved issues to more experienced technicians and / or supervisors.
* Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
* Identify additional service opportunities with customers.
* Participate in training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
* Maintain service vehicles and tools in a clean and functional state.
* Adhere to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, and report any issues or incidents to site management and supervisors.
* Carry out workshop repairs as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Certificate III in Engine Technology (or equivalent)
* A basic level of workshop or field service experience is necessary
* An intermediate level of knowledge of and / or experience with engine products
* Heavy Vehicle Experience is desirable
* A HR License is advantageous
* Cummins experience is preferred but not essential
* Power Generation (Mechanical) experience is also preferred but not essential
