Job Title: Event Planner
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Event Planner to coordinate and manage all aspects of events, ensuring exceptional customer service and seamless execution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Event Operations:
o Problem solve and provide alternative solutions when necessary.
o Lead pre-event and post-event meetings for assigned groups.
o Identify operational challenges and work with the team to resolve them.
o Manage customer expectations and budgets to maximize revenue.
o Oversee the entire customer experience from file turnover through post-event phase.
o Conduct pre- and post-event meetings to review and communicate group needs and feedback.
o Manage room blocks and meeting space for assigned groups.
o Adhere to company standards, policies, and procedures.
* Sales and Marketing Strategy:
o Upsell products and services throughout the event process.
o Participate in customer site inspections and assist with sales efforts.
o Act as liaison between field sales person and customer throughout the event process.
* Managing Profitability:
o Manage revenue and profitability associated with events.
o Forecast group sleeping rooms and event revenue.
o Review billing and payments with clients.
* Providing Exceptional Customer Service:
o Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
o Handle guest problems and complaints.
o Make presence known to customer at all times during the event process.
o Follow up with customer post-event.
o Strive to improve service performance.
o Set a positive example for guest relations.
