Key Role in Gastroenterology and Hepatology
This is a permanent part-time position, 0.5 FTE, in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Nepean Hospital.
Responsibilities:
* Apply advanced gastroenterology clinical knowledge and endoscopy skills to deliver high-quality patient care.
* Participate in quality assurance activities relevant to the specialty, driving excellence and improvement.
* Contribute to the teaching and supervision of junior medical staff, fostering a culture of growth and development.
* Engage in research concepts as required within the department, advancing the field and improving patient outcomes.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* Possess or be eligible for registration with AHPRA.
* Possess Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent.
* Demonstrate sound clinical knowledge in gastroenterology, including contemporary endoscopy skills.
* Exhibit high-level interpersonal and communication skills, essential for effective collaboration and patient care.
* Show a demonstrated commitment to teaching and supervision of junior medical staff, driving education and skill development.
* Demonstrate sound clinical knowledge with a subspecialty in IBD or other subspecialty interest.
