Overview
Protech are seeking the services of Qualified Painters to join the government aligned Qbuild in Townsville.
Reporting to the Painting Foreperson you’ll play a key role in refurbishing schools, public facilities, social housing and various projects throughout the region.
Responsibilities
Refurbish and paint assigned projects in accordance with quality standards and safety requirements, including surface preparation, finishing techniques and coatings.
Collaborate with the team to ensure timely delivery of projects and provide mentorship to apprentices where applicable.
Qualifications
- A valid Painting qualification (Certificate III in Painting and Decorating)
- Experience in surface preparation, finishing techniques, and coatings
- A commitment to workplace safety and high-quality craftsmanship
- A willingness to use digital tools (yes, even painters need to check emails!)
- A passion for mentoring apprentices and passing on your skills
- Must have a driver licence
- Must be able to pass D&A; testing
Pay rate for the Painting position will be: $54.35
