Overview
Profectus is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Operations Managers and Deputy Operations Managers to support upcoming work within Defence. The work will likely cover operational delivery, coordination and governance activities. These roles will suit individuals who are comfortable operating in complex, structured and security-focused settings, providing leadership across operational planning, execution and assurance functions. These positions will be onsite, in Canberra.
An AGSVA NV1 (minimum) security clearance will be required.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and support operational delivery activities across Defence programs, functions or business areas
* Provide day-to-day leadership, coordination and oversight of operational teams and resources
* Support operational planning, scheduling and prioritisation to enable effective delivery
* Monitor operational performance, risks and issues, and support resolution in line with governance requirements
* Contribute to operational reporting, briefings and assurance activities
* Support stakeholder engagement across Defence, industry partners and internal delivery teams
* Assist with the development and implementation of operational processes, controls and improvements
* Deputise for senior operational leadership where required (Deputy Operations Manager roles)
* Ensure compliance with Defence policies, procedures and security requirements
Skills and experience
* Demonstrated experience in operations management, service delivery or operational leadership roles, ideally within Defence or complex government environments
* Experience leading or supporting teams, work packages or operational functions
* Strong understanding of governance, risk and performance management in structured environments
* Ability to operate across multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including briefing and reporting
* Defence experience and an active AGSVA security clearance (NV1 or higher) required.
