Deliver Impactful Safety & Response Training in a Leading Health Service
Temporary Full-Time (12-month EOI) opportunity based at Logan Hospital within Metro South Health, delivering safety, response and Maybo training that builds capability and keeps our workforce safe.
About This Role
Your new role:
Role
As a Training Officer within the Safety & Response Unit, Corporate Services, you will play a key role in strengthening workforce capability by delivering high-quality, competency-based training aligned to operational and strategic priorities across Logan and Beaudesert Health. You will do this by:

* Delivering engaging Maybo and safety and response training to maintain staff competency
* Analysing training needs and developing targeted, competency-based programs
* Planning, coordinating and delivering training using sound adult learning principles
* Developing and applying assessment tools to measure learning outcomes
* Supporting online and self-directed learning activities
* Evaluating training effectiveness and contributing to continuous improvement
* Maintaining accurate training records, reports and annual training plans
* Building strong networks with stakeholders and training partners

About You
You will be a capable and confident training professional with a passion for developing people and improving safety outcomes, with:

* Demonstrated experience delivering training within complex or operational environments
* Strong ability to analyse learning needs and design effective training solutions
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
* Knowledge of adult learning principles and contemporary training methodologies
* A continuous improvement mindset with strong evaluation and reporting skills
* Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office and training systems
* A current Class C driver's licence and ability to meet vaccination requirements

Logan Hospital:
Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
