About the role
Full‐time prospect working 76 hours per fortnight; part‐time considered. Location: headspace Canberra, currently in Braddon. Above HPA Level 2 (commensurate with experience) plus salary packaging.
About the Program
headspace Early Psychosis is a nationally recognised leader in youth mental health. Our service operates under the Orygen EPPIC model. Three core teams: Mobile Assessment & Treatment Team (MATT), Continuing Care Team, Functional Recovery Team.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing clinical care to young people, focusing on early prevention and reducing duration of untreated psychosis.
- Support young people in setting and achieving recovery goals, including symptom relief and stress management.
- Address co‐occurring challenges such as substance misuse through tailored planning and interventions.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and complete administrative tasks using the Master Care EMR system.
- Participate in weekly clinical review meetings, monthly business meetings, and bi‐monthly team gatherings.
- Engage in regular clinical supervision, both in groups and one‐on‐one with the Senior Psychologist and Team Leader.
Qualifications
- Approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and provisional or full AHPRA registration (or registration with an appropriate professional body).
- Experience in youth mental health or early psychosis desirable.
- Flexibility to work on‐site at headspace Canberra, with some remote and community‐based work.
- A passion for providing person‐centred, recovery‐focused care to young people.
