Your new role
As the Coordinator Education Assistance you will improve educational outcomes for children and young people.
Responsibilities
Actively working with school Welfare Officers, school resource suppliers and volunteers who support the administration of the program.
Support low socio-economic families by helping to cover the cost of education expenses to ensure their children are able to engage in school.
Support linkages to other services that may support students and their families to address issues that may be impacting school attendance.
Support parents and carers to meet the financial educational needs of children.
Skills and Experience
Certificate IV in Community Services or relevant experience.
Previous community services related experience in a non-for-profit and/or non-government (NGO) organisation preferred.
Be able to demonstrate an understanding of the issues and challenges facing our vulnerable and marginalised consumers.
Proven experience in working with diverse consumer groups.
High-level interpersonal and communication skills including written listening customer service diplomacy tact and willingness to negotiate.
