We believe that we can improve health outcomes by involving our community in the planning and evaluation of their local health services.About you:In your new role you will… Demonstrate Physiotherapy clinical knowledge, expertise and skills in inpatient and outpatient physiotherapy service, including a commitment to professional development, evidence-based practice, quality improvement and an ability to integrate this into daily practice.Demonstrate ability to perform clinical physiotherapy assessments and treatments across the broad spectrum of clinical conditions required in an inpatient and outpatient physiotherapy service, obtained through relevant tertiary education and subsequent work experience.Demonstrate effective communication skills including advocacy for Physiotherapy services, interpersonal, written, oral, technological and educational and the ability to interact effectively with and provide advice to a member of a multi-professional team. Experience in a cross-cultural setting is advantageous. About your opportunity:In this position you will deliver Physiotherapy clinical services proportionate to level of ability and skills within the Atherton Hospital, as a member of the multidisciplinary team, to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health.About your role: Deliver physiotherapy clinical services (including case management and assessment, diagnosis and treatment interventions) as part of a multidisciplinary team, to inpatients and outpatients of Atherton Hospital, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.Commensurate with level of experience, apply independent professional judgement to clinical decision making, using evidence-based practice to the Atherton Hospital Physiotherapy case load and initiate contact with senior staff for guidance in managing complex cases when required.Provide clinical education pertaining to physiotherapy for health service staff, and supervise Allied Health Assistants and undergraduate physiotherapy students, relevant to level of experience.
