Workshop Supervisor – Automotive On‐Highway
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Workshop Supervisor to join our Automotive On‐Highway team in the Mt. Isa Workshop.
Impact Areas
* Responsible for leading and mentoring a team of technicians and apprentices
* Consulting with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth process from beginning to end
* Ensuring adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reporting any issues/incidents to the Branch Leadership
* Completing required documentation
* Acting as a hands‐on tools Supervisor from time to time
Qualifications and Requirements
* Qualified Heavy Diesel Automotive Mechanic is preferred, but a Light Vehicle background with heavy experience will also be considered
* Experience working on engine products and Heavy On‐Highway Vehicles (e.g., Kenworth, Western Star)
* Experience using electronic troubleshooting systems and following defined OEM procedures
* HR (Heavy Rigid License) Truck licence advantageous
* Previous or demonstrated experience supervising and mentoring in a workshop environment
* Effective communication and organization skills
* Organisational skills and ability to multi‐task in a high‐pressure environment
Compensation and Benefits
* Monday to Friday Dayshift
* Competitive hourly rate paid as a permanent salary
* Housing allowance & remote location allowance
* Overtime paid as penalty rates for all work above the standard Mon – Fri 38‐hour work week
