Position Overview
Looking for your next role in accounting and finance?
We’re on the hunt for an Accounts Officer and administrative guru who can keep the numbers flowing as smoothly as our brews in our current beachside Microbrewery and Hospitality Venue.
You’ll juggle everything from invoices and payroll to stock and excise —helping our General Manager and Group CFO keep the ship running on point.
If you’re comfortable in Xero, love a bit of reconciling magic and have minimum 1–2 years’ experience (bonus if it’s in brewing or hospitality), we want you on our team!!!
Reports To
General Manager (venue-based) and Group CFO (head office)
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Process supplier invoices, purchase orders and payments in line with company policy.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Manage customer accounts, issue invoices and follow up outstanding receivables.
Maintain accurate and current creditor and debtor records.
Perform daily takings reconciliation (EFTPOS, cash, online payments).
Complete weekly and monthly bank reconciliations for all operating accounts.
Monitor float levels and prepare cash deposits securely.
Stock Control & Excise
Monitor and manage venue stocktake procedures.
Reconcile stock variances and assist in identifying COGS anomalies.
Prepare and submit beer excise reports in compliance with ATO requirements.
Payroll & Employee Records
Administer Single Touch Payroll (STP) processing and ensure compliance with Fair Work and ATO requirements.
Prepare weekly or fortnightly payroll runs, including overtime, allowances, and deductions.
Process superannuation payments and maintain employee leave records.
Support recruitment onboarding (TFNs, super choice forms, etc.) as needed.
Manage employment hero compliance and onboarding documents.
Tax & Compliance
Prepare BAS working papers and GST reconciliations for review by the Group CFO.
Liaise directly with the ATO on reporting and compliance queries as delegated.
Maintain orderly financial records for audit and reporting purposes.
Assist in preparation of cashflow forecasts, budgets, and variance reports.
Support GM and Group CFO in end-of-month and year-end close processes.
Contribute to financial process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
Office & General Support
Provide administrative and clerical support to the General Manager.
Coordinate with the Group CFO on finance system updates, coding structure, and reporting needs.
What we’re looking for
Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an Accounts Officer or in a similar financial role, preferably within the brewing or hospitality industry.
Proficiency in both Xero accounting software is required.
Australian citizenship is required for this position.
Own transportation.
