North Coast Region Community Corrections are seeking applicants to fill two temporary Administration Officer (AO3) roles at our Gympie and Maroochydore District Offices.The Administration Officer provides high level support to the District Manager and actively contributes to the efficient day to day operational requirements of a highly dynamic community corrections district office.Community Corrections is responsible for supervising adult offenders in the community.
Community Corrections is divided into seven regions each with a number of district offices and reporting centres.
Community Corrections staff aim to protect the community and reduce re-offending by supervising offenders in the community in which they live and encourage offenders to adopt more prosocial attitudes and behaviours.The Essential Requirements For This Role Are:Communication skills as demonstrated through the ability to listen, understand and speak clearly to a wide range of audiences.
Written skills with the ability to summarise information and data.Proven administrative skills including financial processing and database management.Ability to apply and understand departmental policies and procedures.Ability to use judgment and discretion with confidential information.Planning & Organising abilities to ensure tasks are completed within the required deadlines and in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures.Ability to acquire knowledge of relevant acts and regulations.Decision making and reasoning involve gathering information, evaluating a variety of solutions, and selecting the best option, working ethically, working under pressure and demonstrating resilience.Teamwork skills with the ability to work without supervision and as part of the broader team.
