We're seeking a Yard Hand for our client in Outer Harbor SA. This hands-on role involves cleaning, washing, preparing, and spray painting shipping containers, along with maintaining the workshop and yard to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
* Wash and clean shipping containers, equipment, and workshop areas
* Assist with spray painting and surface preparation of containers
* Sanding, masking, grinding, and basic repair preparation work
* Operate pressure washers and workshop tools safely
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard and workshop
* Assist workshop staff and tradesmen as required
* Load, unload, and move materials around the yard
* Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
* General labouring and yard duties
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in yard work, labouring, spray painting, or industrial washing preferred
* Ability to use hand and power tools safely
* Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
* Reliable with a robust work ethic
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Forklift licence advantageous but not essential
* White Card preferred
