Project Director - Defence Role Overview

We seek an experienced Project Director with a proven track record in delivering complex infrastructure projects, preferably within government or the public sector.

This role requires holding and maintaining at least an NV1 Security Clearance based in Canberra, ACT.


Main Responsibilities

* Lifecycle Management: Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
* Procurement Compliance: Ensure procurement activities comply with Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
* Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
* Project Information Management: Manage project information in line with Defence and APP standards.
* Project Delivery: Deliver projects within or under budget, reducing program durations.
* Handover Takeover Processes: Prioritize and efficiently manage Handover Takeover (HOTO) processes.
* Lessons Learned: Capture lessons learned and innovations for continuous improvement.


About You

* Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with a minimum NV1 security clearance.
* Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience overseeing complex infrastructure projects, ideally in defence or the public sector.
* Project Management Expertise: Expertise in project and program management methodologies with a successful record of delivering large-scale initiatives on time and within budget.
* Government Procurement Knowledge: Strong knowledge of government procurement processes and compliance requirements.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
