· Permanent Part-time (0.6 – 0.8 FTE)

· $90,000 to $100,000 (Per annum Pro-Rata + Super)

· Can be based anywhere in the Northern Territory

The Role

The Communication Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring communication and marketing initiatives which strengthen Landcare NT's brand, member engagement, community partnerships and supports revenue-generation.

The Communication Coordinator will be a part of a multi-disciplinary team with expertise in natural resource management, community development and education who are focused on Connecting People by Caring for Nature.

This role will share Landcare NT's diverse work and the incredible stories of impact from community Landcare across the NT, to drive membership growth and fundraising, allowing Landcare NT to expand its programs, advocacy and positive outcomes for our community.

About Landcare NT

Landcare NT is the peak body representing, supporting and strengthening the community Landcare movement in the Northern Territory (NT). Landcare NT's vision is for vibrant and resilient communities connected with and caring for nature.

We collaborate with 30 Landcare groups (approx. 1,200 volunteers), community organisations and government stakeholders to strengthen community-led stewardship and conservation to maintain and improve the health of natural environments and working landscapes across the NT.

Landcare NT advocates for Landcare interests at local, Territory and national levels, and is a founding member of the National Landcare Network.

Located in Parap, just on the outskirts of Darwin, our small energetic team thrives on collaboration, creativity and a 'can-do' attitude. We value proactive individuals who are passionate about community-led conservation and are eager to contribute to supporting community Landcare in the NT.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Communications

· Develop and implement a Communications Strategy that supports our key organisational objectives and promotes our strategic pillars of Community, Conservation and Connection.

· Manage various communication platforms to communicate with identified audiences (i.e. website, social media channels, marketing tools).

· Facilitate and create engaging content and ensure its timely publishing.

· Create compelling promotional materials to drive membership growth and attract funders and partnerships.

· Drive and increase digital engagement through a social media strategy, well-branded quality content and metrics analysis, helping to grow Landcare NT's public presence.

Engagement

· Collaborate and build the capacity of our team to highlight our impact through communications.

· Build and maintain relationships with relevant media, government and community agencies that strengthen Landcare NTs public relations.

· Work with other State and Territory Landcare Organisations and the National Landcare Network on relevant campaigns and communications.

Operational Support

· Maintain information records and reports for funding and compliance purposes.

· Provide advice to the Operations Manager and Chief Executive Officer on communication strategies, emerging trends and opportunities.

· Support delivery of programs and community engagement activities as required.

Essential skills & knowledge

· Strong experience in developing and implementing communications including social media and website content, marketing resources and email campaigns.

· Experience in producing compelling multimedia content across various platforms to engage and mobilise a variety of audiences.

· Ability to work effectively with the media.

· Innovative and creative mindset, eager to find novel approaches to impact storytelling.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.

· Ability to work flexibly, both independently and collaborating with our team and partners.

· Self-motivated, with attention to detail and exceptional organisational and time management skills.

· National Police Check and Working with Children Clearance (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable skills & knowledge

· A tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, public relations, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· Experience running NT-based awareness campaigns and media relationships

· Experience in the not-for-profit, conservation, or community development sector.

· Experience with fundraising activities and donor communications
