At Elphinstone, you'll work with advanced multi-axis CNC machinery to produce complex, high-tolerance components, including large-scale and defence-grade workpieces. This role places you at the heart of key Australian Defence projects, all within our modern, climate-controlled Wynyard facility.

What You'll Be Doing
* Operating advanced 5-axis and multi-axis CNC machinery
* Manufacturing complex components to tight tolerances
* Working with defence, mining and heavy fabrication workpieces, including large-scale materials
* Using both manual G-code programming and CAM software
* Working independently and as part of a high-performing team
What We're Looking For
* Senior CNC Machinist with 5–7+ years' experience
* Strong understanding of, tool cutting data, tooling cutting forces and workpiece/tooling material properties
* Advanced G-code skills - able to read, write and edit, not just modify
* Experience with multi-axis machining (simultaneous or positional 4th/5th axis)
* Proficient in quality control and use of precision measurement tools
* High attention to detail and strong mechanical aptitude
* Experience in machining armoured steel (advantageous)
* Australian citizen or permanent resident
