Hudson is partnering with a Sydney-based, tech-focused organisation to hire for an Associate level Software Engineer. We are seeking a talented and driven Software Engineer to work in a highly collaborative Agile environment. You will contribute to the design, development, security, and scalability of cutting-edge products. This role offers an opportunity to work on large-scale enterprise applications and be part of a mission-critical application.
Responsibilities
- Deliver scalable, high-performance solutions as part of an Agile team
- Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless integration between multiple projects
- Develop and implement software designs and requirements, ensuring code quality and adherence to coding standards
- Fully document software features and functionality
- Participate in planning, backlog grooming, and technical design discussions across multiple projects
- Break down larger project stories into smaller tasks and estimate effort for backlog items
- Continuously seek learning opportunities to improve your knowledge
- Conduct presentations and provide training to support talent development within the organization
- Perform code reviews and ensure high standards of development quality
Qualifications & Experience
- 1-3 years of relevant commercial programming experience in Java and/or React
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment with attention to detail
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across teams and time zones
- Experience working in highly collaborative environments and delivering world-class products
- Proven experience delivering software on a global scale, from new products to incremental updates
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Casual Loading
Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
