Project Manager - Data and PowerBI (Contract)

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Project Manager to lead the discovery and delivery planning for two key data initiatives within a large, complex retail environment.
About the Projects
Supplier Analysis Tool
This initiative aims to assess and enhance an existing Power BI dashboard, currently reliant on manual quarterly data refreshes from over 20 sources. The project requires a structured Discovery phase to determine the most cost-effective and scalable solution—streamlining data sourcing, transformation (via Python), and reporting.
Group Retail Media
This data-sharing initiative involves integrating internal and external data from 6+ systems into a Snowflake data warehouse. The data will then be transformed according to a defined interface agreement and securely shared with external partners using Snowflake’s data share capabilities.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to draft and finalize Statements of Work and delivery plans
* Define and gain alignment on project scope, key milestones, and deliverables between business and technology teams
* Facilitate effective communication and timely updates across all stakeholder groups, including regular verbal and written status reports and RAIDD logs
* Navigate cost/scope trade-offs to align solution options with business funding constraints
* Ensure appropriate SME and decision-maker input is embedded into all stages of Discovery
* Drive alignment with enterprise processes and governance standards, including architecture forums and project management methodologies
What We’re Looking For
* Multiple years of proven project management experience, ideally in enterprise environments
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams
* Experience managing data-centric projects (e.g. ETL pipelines, business intelligence, data warehouse integrations)
* Solid understanding of tools and environments such as Power BI, Python, Snowflake, or equivalent platforms
* Ability to deliver structured Discovery activities and manage ambiguity with clarity and confidence
