The Program Scheduler will lead the quality development of program schedules providing quality analysis and generating co-ordination for the largest software development within a government department in decades. Developing a foundation for a cohesive end to end schedule, the product of which will be deliver a meaningful difference for the community of Queensland.
**In this role you will**:
- Support the Program Director, Project Managers in ensuring the benefits of and initiatives of Project are achievable
- Provide strategic evidence-based, best-practice vendor and human resources advice
- Project Schedule both the waterfall phases of the program, and schedule the agile software development phases.
- Influence success schedule outcomes through leading outcomes within migration of traditional datacentres through to the cloud.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate delivery, reduction of risk, and return on investments.
- Effectively identify and manage risks and issues to ensure successful delivery of project outcomes and initiatives.
- Develop and implement best practice project management principles, practices, methodologies, and tools to facilitate effective project delivery.
- Track, monitor, and report on the status of the project schedule, recommending appropriate governance and remediation.
- Support the preparation of reports, briefing notes, and presentations on designated project outcomes, findings, risks and recommendations.
- Ensure the effective use and management of vendors, human and financial resources within the schedule to deliver a commercially sustainable product.
- Contribute to developing a workplace environment that values performance, continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high-quality products and services.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned.
**What you will Bring**:
- Strong scheduling experience and proven ability to manage complex transformation Program Schedules, with multiple projects, vendors and streams
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to confidently communicate and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated analytical and problem resolution skills
- Previous private sector and government experience
- Experience in a variety of scheduling project management tools
- Experience within Programs/projects that are reportable and auditable.
