Transformative Commercial Manager to join our team and play a critical role in safeguarding our financial interests, managing contractual obligations, and supporting project success across Australia.
About the Role
As a Commercial Manager, you will partner with operations teams to manage the financial and contractual aspects of our projects. This is a transformative position looking at driving change across the business. You'll identify commercial risks, resolve contractual issues, support bid preparation, and ensure compliance with contract terms. This is a key role in providing training on commercial best practices and contract management. You can be based at our Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne Office supporting the function across ANZ.
Key Responsibilities
* Protect KONE's financial and commercial interests with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Review and negotiate contract terms, manage claims, and ensure compliance with obligations.
* Support dispute resolution and project close-out activities.
* Drive timely payments and mitigate bad debt risks.
* Support tendering teams in preparing accurate, competitive bids.
* Identify business opportunities through commercial insights.
* Support project teams with day‐to‐day commercial issues.
What We're Looking For
* At least 7 years commercial experience
* Strong knowledge of project operations, financial processes, and contract management.
* Advanced commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
* Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
* Solid understanding of local laws and regulations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
