**Who you are**:
Are you ready to push the boundaries of engineering in a dynamic and collaborative environment? We're on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team, specialising in mechanical and aerospace engineering.
As part of the team, you will focus on filament winding, automated fibre placement, sensing systems, and the utilisation and integration of manufacturing processes into a Digital Twin. In addition, support of the existing team in the space of composite design, repair processes, and manufacturing will also feature in the day-to-day activities of this role.

**What you'll do**:
- Lead research projects focused on advanced composites manufacturing and materials testing;
- Utilise your workshop and laboratory skills to assemble, commission, and maintain complex apparatus for data acquisition;
- Design and execute experiments, analyse data, and model findings to advance our research initiatives;
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and engage with industry partners to attract funding and expand our research capabilities;
- Contribute to capacity development by mentoring others and enhancing academic research skills within the team.
**What will help you succeed**
- A Doctoral or Master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or a closely related discipline;
- Proven professional experience or research expertise in relevant areas, especially in advanced composites;
- Strong workshop and laboratory skills, with experience in designing and maintaining complex engineering systems;
- Excellent engineering design, data analysis, and modelling capabilities;
- A collaborative spirit and a track record of engaging in successful research partnerships;
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build constructive relationships across diverse teams.

**Salary**: Total remuneration range $128,506 to $151,889 pa (includes salary range of $108,581 to $128,339 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
