Job Overview
SF People is working with a reputable client in the industrial transport sector. We are recruiting a Sales Manager to join their leadership team. The role involves maintaining existing sales relationships, developing and expanding into new markets within a dynamic industrial business.
Key Responsibilities
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving and overseeing revenue growth through conversion of inbound opportunities, strategic key account management, and planning and executing targeted growth opportunities. Key activities include disciplined pipeline management, leading the team in product knowledge, and strengthening customer relationships and market presence.
They will ensure a seamless end-to-end customer experience from first engagement through delivery and ongoing partnership. The role requires close collaboration with technical, engineering, marketing, and operations teams.
The manager will lead a small team, be involved directly in sales and growth activities, and be accountable for individual and team performance and targets.
Relevant Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Sales Manager, Sales Director, or similar level role.
* Strong track record in B2B, industrial, manufacturing, or technical sales environments.
* Exceptional customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.
* Commercial acumen to identify, pursue, and execute sales and growth opportunities.
* Ability to discuss and scope technical requirements with sales and engineering specialists.
* Success in managing inbound opportunities, sales pipelines, key account management, and developing long-term B2B relationships.
* People manager experience, leading and mentoring sales teams.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
* Qualifications in Business, Economics, Technical, or related discipline (preferred, but not essential).
Additional Information
* Full-time permanent role.
* Salary package includes base salary, superannuation, vehicle allowance, and commission scheme.
* Salary negotiated based on skills, experience, qualifications, and fit.
* Head office based in Western suburbs of Brisbane with additional travel required.
* On‐site visits to manufacturing areas needed.
* Occasional work‐based travel required.
