**Job description**:
DFP Recruitment is currently seeking a Stakeholder Communications Officer for a State Government Department within the Public Transport space.
Located on West Parade, Perth, this position is for an immediate start, offering a 12-month full-time casual contract, paying approx. $50 per hour plus super.
Working as part of a small interface team, the Stakeholder Communications Officer's prime focus will be to support the branch in stakeholder engagement during the planning and development of high value infrastructure projects and be responsible for the coordination of a range of stakeholder communication activities.
Role specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the Stakeholder Interface Coordinator with identifying internal and external project stakeholders and assists in informing individual stakeholders of planning projects.
- Coordinate stakeholder meetings and record stakeholder communications including preparing and issuing agendas and minutes.
- Maintain stakeholder databases, including Consultation Manager, and assist in the tracking of stakeholder obligations and commitments.
- Update the website and intranet using the Content Management System (CMS.
- Coordinate the production of communication material including presentations, publications and multimedia to ensure consistency with internal policy and style guidelines.
- Prepare content for stakeholder communication channel and contribute content towards the internal communications channels.
- Prepare government briefings and ministerial responses with the support of the Stakeholder Interface Coordinator, as required.
**About you**
We're looking for a collaborative team player with great verbal and written communication skills, who can work independently when needed.
To be successful you will have;
- Previous experience in public relations/communications/stakeholder engagement, with expertise in delivering project communications for infrastructure projects, including:
- Experience in responding to government and industry stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
- Experience in developing content for and liaising with a variety of stakeholders to meet stakeholder engagement strategy objectives.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
- Strong writing, editing and proof-reading skills including the ability to write for and edit websites.
- Considerable planning and organisational ability, in particular, the ability to assess the importance and urgency of tasks in relation to competing interests and timelines.
- Relevant ICT qualifications.
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Active Directory and SCCM (Desirable).
- Ability to mentor, train, provide support and advice to members of the team.
- Knowledge of information security principles.
