Reporting to the Director of Nursing and Clinical Care, this is a wonderful opportunity for a Recreation and Activities Coordinator to join a passionate and dynamic team. In this role, you will develop, deliver, and assess specialised activity programmes and social activities that cater to residents of differing needs and interests. The activities program is a critical piece of our care model; promoting psychological, social, and physical wellbeing. You will also oversee a small team of lifestyle officers. **Responsibilities**
- Design, implement and deliver lifestyle programs and social calendars
- Establish goals: planning, organising, implementing, and evaluating therapy programs for residents and community activities and special events
- Maintain appropriate records of all assessments, therapy plans, evaluations, and activity programs
- Ensure involvement of the Residents in the development of stimulating and enjoyable activities
- Manage the leisure and lifestyle resources
- Lead and develop a small team of recreation and lifestyle officers and volunteers
- Engage with community groups to build a network of support and social partners
- Develop a wide range of activities in consultation with residents and their family members
- Engage, coordinate, and utilise volunteers within the organisation

**About you**
- Cert IV in Leisure and Lifestyle is desirable, or cert III in individual support (aged care)
- Previous experience gained in a similar role
- Highly developed organisation and time management skills
- Experience leading a small team
- The ability to solve problems independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes

- Strong experience in Aged Care
