About The Role
We’re seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Support Team Leader - Victoria to lead and support our technical support team within Victoria. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of IT support services, maintaining ITSM processes, supporting group IT projects, and ensuring operational excellence across local teams.
Reporting to the Deputy Technical Operations Manager, this is a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of IT operations, excellent customer support, and continuous improvement across our clinical and business systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of your state-based IT support team, including performance management and coaching.
- Provide 1st and 2nd level support for IT issues across clinical and corporate systems.
- Lead the implementation and adherence to ITSM practices including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Maintain and configure the Manage Engine Service Desk (MESD) ticketing system.
- Act as the key escalation point for technical and operational issues.
- Collaborate with other state-based leaders to deliver “follow-the-sun” support across all IDX sites.
- Support IT project delivery in collaboration with GTS and RIS/PACS teams.
- Create and deliver regular team performance reports and service delivery metrics.
- Train and educate staff on MESD usage, new technologies, and process changes.
- Participate in an after-hours on-call support roster.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across IT operations.
About You
You’re a strong leader with a hands-on support background who thrives in fast-paced environments. You have a passion for service excellence, strong interpersonal skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Essential Skills And Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT Service Desk/Support roles
- Strong ITIL/ITSM knowledge and practical experience
- Experience in radiology workflows and clinical application support (e.g. RIS, PACS)
- Proven team leadership and performance management experience
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to manage escalations, reporting, and IT governance requirements
