City of Ballarat is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated professional to work as part of the Libraries and Lifelong Learning team to provide high-quality, efficient, and friendly customer service, information, and learning services that meet the diverse needs of the community.
This position works with the Team Leader Community Hubs and Outreach, undertaking daily operations and activation of Community Hubs. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in providing high-quality customer service.
Key Selection Criteria
Qualifications and Experience:
* Tertiary qualification in community development, social sciences, learning and education, or significant relevant experience.
* Considerable experience in using computer software including Microsoft Office applications and internet technology.
* Demonstrated skills and aptitude developed in a customer service environment.
* Working with Children Check.

* Qualifications and experience as listed above.
* Ability to champion, model, and promote the corporate values.
* Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and abilities.
* Experience in activating local communities and community hubs using community development principles.
* Ability to identify and initiate new opportunities and be innovative in developing concepts to improve community and organizational outcomes.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organizational strategic outcomes.
