Several of our clients currently require senior structural and mechanical designers to deliver their major projects. These are full-time positions with some permanent positions with most opportunities on minimum 12-month contracts on large construction projects. The roles are based in Perth with strong progression opportunities in highly-renowned, fast-paced environments. Sector focuses include mining, mineral processing and O&G.The ideal candidates will be comfortable with creating high quality engineering concept plans, designs and documentation for engineering projects from concept to completion. They should have experience with packages such as AutoCAD, Tekla, PDMS and Advanced Steel and be able to utilize strong design skills in order to create precise 2D and 3D models.ResponsibilitiesPrepare high quality detailed design, drawings and documentation for structural engineering projectsWork in conjunction with Engineering, Drafting and Detailing personnel from the initial planning stages of the project through to final constructionInterface with the client regarding designs, providing advice and coordinating solutionsOversee and mentor junior designersEnsure HSEQ and other relevant client and industry standards are metQualificationsMinimum 5 years' experience in design and documentation of Structural and Mechanical engineering projects.Experience with any of AutoCAD, Tekla, PDMS and Advanced SteelStrong knowledge of govt and Australian standardsStrong organizational, analytical, communication skills and design skills
