Head of Health & Wellbeing
The Head of Health & Wellbeing provides enterprise-wide strategic leadership for UNSW's Health & Wellbeing Framework, ensuring the integration of psychological and physical health into the University's overarching Health & Safety strategy.
The role holds end-to-end accountability for the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of a new health and wellbeing framework, psychosocial risk management, injury management, and workers' compensation within a self-insured context.
Operating with a high level of autonomy and influence, the position leads a multi-disciplinary team and manages strategic third-party provider relationships to ensure effective service delivery, compliance, and sustainable outcomes.
This role translates strategy into operational practice, driving continuous improvement and embedding a culture of proactive risk management and health & wellbeing leadership across UNSW.
As a key member of the Health & Safety leadership team, the role acts as a strategic advisor to senior executives and collaborates closely with stakeholders across People & Culture, Legal, Faculties, and Divisions to enable integrated, high-impact health & wellbeing outcomes that support institutional priorities, including effective case management.
The Head of Health & Wellbeing contributes to strategic planning, performance measurement, and governance across the Health & Safety function and leads cross-functional initiatives to advance psychosocial safety, regulatory compliance, and workforce capability uplift.
