We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our administration team. This is a part-time position (0.6 to 0.8 FTE) working Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm (days to be confirmed).
Reporting to the Business Manager, this role is responsible for the efficient management of the school's accounts receivable function and providing general financial and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the school's finance processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full accounts receivable function, including school fee processing and debtor management
* Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up payments in a professional and confidential manner
* Prepare regular financial reports and provide analysis of fee collection and outstanding balances
* Process receipts and maintain accurate financial records
* Complete monthly bank reconciliations
* Maintain the fixed asset register, including acquisitions, disposals and depreciation
* Provide general finance support, reporting and data analysis as required
* Assist with administrative tasks and support front office operations, including answering phones when required
About You
* Experience in a similar finance or accounting role, including accounts receivable
* Relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting, Bookkeeping or a related field
* Strong reconciliation, reporting and data analysis skills
* High level of accuracy, attention to detail and organisational skills
* Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and financial systems
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a school environment
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
* Experience in an education setting is highly desirable

* Hours: 0.6 to 0.8 FTE (four days per week), 8:30am – 4:30pm
* Annual Leave: 7 weeks per year
