The Opportunity
We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join our Family Law team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised individual to contribute to a busy practice and support solicitors in delivering high-quality legal services.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing administrative and legal support to solicitors within the Family Law team
* Drafting, formatting and proofreading legal documents and correspondence
* Managing client files and maintaining accurate records
* Liaising with clients, courts, and external stakeholders in a professional manner
* Coordinating appointments and managing diaries
* Assisting with the preparation of court documents, briefs, and filings
About You
* Previous experience in a legal assistant role – preferred but not essential (family law experience favourable)
* Strong administrative background
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management systems
* A proactive, reliable, and team-focused approach, with the ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks and work with autonomy
