We're currently partnering with a global leader in speciality ingredients and chemical distribution, to recruit a Customer Service Officer for a 2-month full-time contract based in Cheltenham with the view to extension.
The Role
As the key link between warehouse operations, transport providers, and customers, you will play a critical role in ensuring orders are processed accurately, delivered on time, and communicated clearly. You'll work closely with Shipping, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams while gaining hands-on exposure to warehouse operations, port operations, and domestic transport.

Key Responsibilities
* Accurately process customer orders, ensuring timely delivery and invoicing
* Liaise closely with warehouse and Shipping teams to manage end-mile delivery
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and 3PL, warehousing, and transport partners
* Proactively communicate order status updates to customers and Commercial teams, particularly when delays occur
* Ensure internal controls are followed and all shipped orders are invoiced, particularly prior to month-end
Your Profile
* Previous experience in customer service, logistics, supply chain, or order management
* Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
* Comfortable working across multiple systems and managing competing priorities
* Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Ability to build effective working relationships across internal teams and external partners
