Reporting to the General Manager Operations the Principal Process Engineer is responsible for providing strategic technical leadership to optimise salt production processes, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operational performance.

We are rapidly progressing the Mardie Salt Operation and Potash Project (Mardie Operation), a tier 1 solar evaporation project that will supply high-purity industrial salt and sulphate of potash (SOP) for more than 60 years.
Mardie will be the largest salt operation in Australia and the third largest globally. With first salt on ship on track to be achieved late next year, BCI Minerals is just at the beginning of its journey to become a key player in a multitude of globally significant sustainable opportunities.

The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Principal Process Engineer to join our team and lead the optimisation of salt production processes across our operations. This pivotal role provides strategic direction and technical leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective performance of key processing areas, including crystallisation, solid-liquid separation, and washplant operations.
About You:
The successful candidate will bring a minimum of 10 years' experience in process engineering within the salt or broader mineral processing industries, underpinned by a relevant tertiary qualification. You'll be adept at driving innovation, leading process improvement and capital projects, and applying advanced process simulation and data analysis tools. A strong commitment to safety, along with experience in risk assessment and process safety management, is essential.
The successful candidate will be required to provide a national police clearance that is not older than 3 months and must hold a current WA HR driver's licence, Construction Induction Card (White Card), and first aid/CPR certification.
You must have current unrestricted working rights for Australia to be eligible for consideration.
