Our business is experiencing significant, controlled growth, built on strong client relationships and a reputation for delivering quality outcomes.We are now seeking an Estimator / Senior Estimator to join our Pre-Construction team. This role will suit someone confident in running their own tenders end-to-end, thinking strategically about delivery, and adding value through buildability and pre-construction knowledge.About the RoleAs an Estimator/Snr Estimator at RCG, your responsibilities will include:Preparing initial assessments of tenders and cost plans.Breaking down trade packages, preparing subcontractor lists, and engaging with subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing.Preparing and presenting rated and coded Bills of Quantities and cost plans.Reviewing and analysing subcontractor and supplier pricing.Raising RFIs and liaising with clients and consultants where required.Working collaboratively with the Bid team on tender submissions.Providing input on construction methodology, program strategies, and value engineering to strengthen submissions.Managing both small and large tenders, often more than one at a time, while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Contributing pre-construction insights and buildability advice to improve project outcomes.What We're Looking ForWe are open to applications from mid-level through to senior estimators. The right candidate will be capable of independently running tenders and contributing strategically to project delivery.Key requirements:5+ years' estimating experience in commercial construction.Strong knowledge of construction methods, trade sequencing, and market pricing.Proven strong conversion rate – ability to win tenders, not just price them.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Excellent communication and time management skills.Experience in CostX (preferred) and proficiency with MS Office suite.Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction/quantity surveying (valued but not essential).Sector experience across Education, Aged Care/Retirement Living, Social & Government Housing, Government, and Industrial projects will be highly regarded.Why Join RCG?Great team culture and collaborative environment.Quarterly team events and business lunches at our Sydney office.Annual harbour cruise and other social events.Exposure to diverse projects across NSW and Victoria.Opportunities for professional development and long-term career growth.SalaryA competitive salary package will be offered, based on skills and experience.
