Job Overview
We are seeking a senior manager to lead our strategy implementation team. This role will involve developing and implementing procurement and property strategy on behalf of the chief procurement officer.

* This is a fixed term, full time opportunity to work with a high performing team in the Victorian public service.
* You will have direct line management responsibility for staff in the strategy implementation team.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and experience in project management. They will also have a comprehensive understanding of external and internal issues that influence the strategic direction of the organisation.
About The Business Unit
We provide department-wide financial, procurement and workplace services through strategic leadership and setting the direction, policy and processes. We partner with the department to build capability.
Our unit monitors and reports on procurement performance and manages several high profile strategic projects to minimise procurement risk and support the delivery of value for money. We are responsible for the effective operation and management of asset maintenance, fleet and property, and facilities management services across the department.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading preparation and quality assurance of briefs relating to strategy and implementation in procurement and property services.
* Lead the development of strategy for procurement and property services.
* Provide high level and authoritative strategic advice, information and assistance to the CPO, departmental executives and senior managers on complex and commercially sensitive policy and technical matters.

* Have a strong understanding of business acumen and drive a culture of value for money for the department.
* Be a thought leader in project management with extensive experience of successful delivery of complex programs and projects in a government context.
