Governance and Board Secretariat Coordinator opportunity
* Approx. $45-$55 per hour plus Super dependent on experience
* Assignment duration is up to a period of 3 months. Immediate start.

About the role
Government agency requires an experienced Governance and Board Secretariat Coordinator to join them on a short-term assignment for a duration of up to a period of 3 months based in the southern suburbs of Adelaide with an immediate start.
Key responsibilities
Key tasks and responsibilities will include:
* Provide high-quality support to the Board Secretariat, and Sub-committees, ensuring all legislative obligations are met.
* Assist the Executive Director Governance and Risk with governance responsibilities, including preparation of papers and coordination of meeting logistics.
* Attend Board and Sub-committee meetings, accurately record minutes, and manage follow-up actions.
* Draft and review professional communications on behalf of Board and Sub-committee Chairs.
* Ensure all written materials are accurate, timely, and aligned with governance protocols.
* Research, review, and evaluate policies, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and standards.
* Provide strategic and operational project support to the Executive Director and wider Executive team.
* Build and maintain effective relationships through collaboration and consultation with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Key Selection Criteria
Experience and knowledge you will need to demonstrate include:
* Experience in providing high-level Secretariat support to committees, including agendas, committee paper preparation, minute taking and follow up actions.
* Experience in managing sensitive, complex and urgent material within strict time frames and in accordance with required outcomes.
* Experience in working collaboratively with the Executive and/or senior level management and other stakeholders.
* Experience in researching, analysing and coordinating information and data and preparing concise, relevant and timely briefings, written advice and reports.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience in providing advice and solutions to a range of corporate governance matters.
* Competency in Diligent Board Management software.
* Proven experience in basic computing skills, including email, excel and word processing.
