Design Expertise Sought
As a seasoned Civil Designer, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging design projects and collaborate with experienced professionals in a dynamic Railroad Services group.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working on projects for freight and commuter railroads and rail agencies, with additional training in MicroStation InRoads/Open Roads considered a significant advantage.
Our Civil/Track Design team is looking for a skilled and motivated individual who can contribute to the creation of track and civil design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
As a Civil Designer at our company, you will gain experience interacting with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders, and work closely with Project Managers and Project Engineers to meet project deadlines.
* You will design, draft elements, and integrate data and perform fundamental analysis of project elements.
* You will acquire practical experience collaborating with Project Managers, Engineers, and Technicians to deliver services for Class I, short line, and commuter rail projects.
What We Are Looking For
* A Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering and up to four years of experience in a similar capacity.
* Successful completion of the EIT / FE exam or ability to complete the exam within six months of employment.
* A strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Working knowledge of MicroStation Inroads/OpenRoads Designer is a major plus.
* A strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
* Enjoy problem-solving and learning new technical skills.
* Be willing to accept occasional out-of-town travel to meet project demands.
