Senior Mobile Back‐End Developer
Full‐time and permanent position based at our new Product Innovation Centre in Adelaide.
You will architect and develop robust, scalable systems that power seamless digital experiences, ensuring fast, secure, reliable services that meet evolving customer expectations.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Mobile Back‐End Developer, you'll guide and lead the architecture, delivery and development of software systems, contributing high‐quality, well‐designed code and ensuring business outcomes, reliability, performance, security and data‐privacy requirements are met.
Qualifications
* 6+ years' experience in a hands‐on Software Engineering role
* Extensive experience crafting and building backend‐for‐frontend software
* Proven technology experience across Kotlin (or Java), Spring Boot, AWS, Git, CI/CD, observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog and Splunk
* Passion for quality, clean code and continuous improvement
* Solid understanding of architectural concepts and cloud‐based solution design
* Highly dedicated ethos – ownership of work and accountability
* Ability to motivate self and others, and mentor junior developers
* Experience working with technical and non‐technical partners, influencing outcomes
* Test‐and‐learn mindset with curiosity, collaboration and care
* Confidence with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions
* Experience writing multi‐threaded, asynchronous code
* Experience with server‐driven architectures is a plus
