An exciting opportunity is available for an Engineer to join Westpac Group Technology. In GroupTech we're striving to be game-changing technologists, shaping the future of banking. Westpac has aplex Information Technology environment that needs to deliver to the rapidly changing needs of our customers and employees, the ever-evolving IT landscape and the Group's regulatory and statutory requirements.
The Engineer role provides the technical expertise and dedicated technical focus required to deliver on Westpac's next generation technology capabilities including data analytics, platform development, specialised application development, systems and processes.
This role will operate predominantly in an Agile environment and such will be required to support the technology capabilities to effectively deliver value to customers.
Your key responsibilities include:
1. Contribute to the change, Level 3 support andernance of the Identity as a Service (IDaaS) platform hosted on AWS
2. Design, build, configure and implement IAM solutions on Ping identity products in an AWS environment
3. Provide technical support to project teams as well as the Level 3 support teams
4. Consult with business stakeholders on requirements and solution options
5. Triage business requirement to advise on the appropriate solution options on the Ping platform
6. Review and update project handover and operation documents
7. Liaise with the CTO teams - Channels and Security Architecture teams to ensure design integrity and strategic alignment
8. Lead and mentor team members

What do I need?
To be successful in this role, you need to have the following skills:
9. 5+ years' related experience at an Enterprise level
10. 3+ years' experience with an industry standard IAM platform
11. Experience with systems development, support and maintenance with specialist knowledge in IAM
12. Hands on experience on an industry-standard IAM platform (eg Ping, Okta, Forgerock, NetIQ, Tivoli etc)
13. Knowledge of security design principles for IAM solutions
14. Hands on experience with SAML, OAuth, OIDC, LDAP etc
15. Preferably a background in development (especially Java)
16. Preferably experience in a DevOps/Cloud environment (especially AWS)
17. Logical troubleshooting ability
18. Experience collaborating and supporting others
19. Advanced analysis, problem solving, troubleshooting and consultative skills
20. Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills
21. Applied understanding of technical concepts of enterprise architecture and contemporary IT strategies
22. An understanding of a financial services operating environment, applications and products desirable
