Over the past several years, the Fenner Family has really grown, especially here in Western Australia. You will find us working across various mining and minerals operations throughout the Pilbara and south-west regions.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced boilermaker / welder to join the team.
Based in our Kwinana manufacturing plant, and reporting to the Engineering Maintenance Manager, this busy role will contribute to the preventative maintenance in our manufacturing plant.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Carry out general boiler maker duties including the use of welding (MIG, TIG, Stick)
- Diagnose and fault find mechanical equipment
- Perform regular preventative maintenance activities to ensure machinery running time is maximised
- Assist with the planning and scheduling of jobs
- Respond to machine breakdown situations and carry out work to ensure downtime is minimised
- Conduct prestart sessions and toolbox discussions
- Create, implement, and review job methodologies
- Assist with safety and quality compliance
**What you need**:
- Heavy fabrication trade skills including arc welding
- Ability to interpret and comprehend technical drawings and documentation
- Ability to operate hand and powered tools, measuring devices.
- Manufacturing environment exposure in fault finding
- Able to design & fault find on pneumatic & hydraulic system
- Familiarity with steam, cooling water and air systems
- Competent level knowledge of Work Health & Safety legislation
