Negotiable salary Full-time permanent role Leading national property developer Our client is a dynamic award-winning national property developer with a focus on commercial developments, residential and mixed use projects.
Due to growth, we are seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team.
Within this role you will manage the organisations tax compliance across all entitles.
The role : Prepare all information required to meet tax compliance obligations, including income tax, FBT, GST, PAYG, and payroll tax for group entities with the assistance of the external tax advisors.
Ensure timely lodgement of Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).
Assist with tax provision calculations and journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
Maintain and reconcile accounts within the general ledger.
Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and annual financial statements.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
What we're looking for: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Commerce.
CA or CPA qualification (or working towards).
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in financial accounting or tax compliance (ideally within a group or corporate environment).
Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation (Income Tax, GST, FBT, Payroll Tax).
Proficiency in Xero or similar.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience with consolidated group tax reporting.
Exposure to multi-entity organisations.
Experience liaising with the ATO and external advisors.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Proactive, collaborative, and able to work both independently and within a team.
