Purpose of the role
Youi is a fast-paced, tech-driven insurance company building innovative in-house software as part of our modernisation journey. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you'll work in a collaborative team to deliver high-quality software in an agile environment, balancing strong engineering practices with a pragmatic, value-focused approach.
Key priorities
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver software solutions aligned to business goals
* Build high-quality, scalable, and well-tested software across the full technology stack
* Work with modern technologies such as C#, .NET, JavaScript/Angular
* Maintain high code quality through standards, automated testing, and peer reviews
* Contribute to solution design and continuous improvement within agile fusion teams
* Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices for continuous delivery
* Apply secure coding principles and modern software engineering practices
* Monitor, support, and resolve production issues to ensure reliable applications
* Communicate effectively and actively participate in agile team ceremonies
About you
Experience & Knowledge:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
* Experience as a full-stack software engineer using C#, JavaScript, and Angular
* Exposure to cloud platforms desirable but not required
* Exposure to multivalue databases such as Rocket U2 universe highly regarded but not required
* Proven ability to deliver complex software solutions in an agile (SCRUM) environment
* Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on scalable, high-performance systems
* Knowledge of secure coding, security, and compliance best practices
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams
* Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments
* Practical, innovative mindset with the ability to turn ideas into outcomes
* High integrity, accountability, and professional standards
Ways of working
Youi offers a hybrid model: in-office Tuesday to Thursday, remote Mondays and Fridays.
Sippy Downs & Fortitude Valley:
This role can be based at either our Headquarters in Sippy Downs or our Fortitude Valley office.
Sippy Downs:
