Due to growth we have a exciting opportunity for a
**Mechanical Designer** to join our Brisbane Team. This role would suit someone with strong mining and minerals lean. The purpose of this position is to work on design and perform 3D layouts to support our Projects Team.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Prepare layouts and detailed drawings in line with requirements
- Deliver designs according to required timeframes by coordinating with relevant project members
- Maintain consistent design drafting standards and ensuring strict drafting systems and protocols are adhered to
- Overcome design and/or schedule issues by maintaining an overview of activity, communicating with the Project lead in a timely manner
**Skills and Experience required**:
- Formal qualifications in a Trade, Drafting or Engineering
- 2+ years' experience in a drafting role within a mining or engineering organisation
- An excellent working knowledge of Mechanical / SMP drafting and design principles used in producing final documentation.
- Demonstrated experience and the ability to utilise software including AutoCAD, Prosteel, Advancesteel, Navisworks. (Desirable
- MicroStation / Projectwise)
- Highly developed communication, presentation & negotiation skills
- Ability to remain dynamic and agile, and work in a fast paced work environment
