About the Role:
Senior Aboriginal Cultural Healing Therapist will apply culturally safe approaches and holistic healing principles, underpinned by VACCA's Cultural Therapeutic Ways framework.
This work involves seamless collaboration with other services and organisations, facilitating a method for building specialist therapeutic capability across various agencies.
Key aspects include:
* Demonstrated commitment to VACCA's vision and purpose
* Awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures, with a high level of awareness of key issues impacting upon Aboriginal communities
* Understanding of child development, trauma-informed practice specific to sexual assault, and culturally appropriate service responses for Aboriginal communities in Western Melbourne Area
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* Tertiary qualification and relevant experience working in a therapeutic or cultural healing context
* Current employment Working With Children Check card and clear National Police Check
