How you will make contributions that matter
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you'll lead the daily operations of our NATA accredited Microbiology Laboratory, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You'll play a key role in mentoring your team, driving continuous improvement, and contributing to a culture of excellence.
* Lead and supervise day-to-day lab operations with a focus on safety and compliance
* Ensure Laboratory Management System operates in compliance with NATA standards
* Manage staff rosters, performance reviews, and training
* Support internal audits and non-conformance investigations, implementing related corrective and preventative actions
* Contribute expertise to investigations into microbiological related trends and non-conforming products
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and safe work practices
* Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
* Lead recruitment and onboarding of new lab staff
About You
* Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field (preferred)
* Proven experience in laboratory supervision
* Strong technical background in food or pharmaceutical testing within a NATA accredited laboratory
* Effective communicator with strong leadership and organizational skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is an advantage
