We are seeking dedicated Cleaners to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in our Residential Care Facility at Yaraandoo, Burnie, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.
The Opportunity
We currently have casual and permanent positions available for cleaners. The role is responsible for conducting a broad range of cleaning activities under the general direction of the Facility Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure a safe work environment by adopting protected work practices.
- Maintain good working relationships with staff, residents and families.
- To work within the mission statement and philosophy of Southern Cross Care (Tasmania) Inc. to achieve the highest possible standard of care for residents.
- Always maintain and respect employee, consumer and organisational confidentiality.
- Actively participate in meetings and discussions in a constructive manner.
- Communicate with consumers and colleagues in a kind and caring manner, taking into account individual cultural and religious preferences.
- Work as part of a busy team and be supportive of other team members.
- Prioritise workload and use care resources effectively and efficiently.
- Adhere to legislation pertaining to privacy and confidentiality and handling of personal information.
Essential
- Time management and organisational skills to perform at the required standard.
- Good physical health.
- Ability to work in a diverse team.
- Previous experience in general cleaning.
- Satisfactory national police check within the last three months or the ability to obtain one.
- Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration with NDIS endorsement or the ability to obtain.
- Satisfactory evidence of working rights in Australia.
