About Challenge Our Disability Services - day programs are designed to assistour clients live the life they deserve, it's a centre where clientscome to enjoy activities and engage in the community whilst gaininglife skills and confidence. Our day programs cater for individuals with high to low supportneeds, this may include clients who use wheelchairs and other aids.We also provide additional support for our clients medical and careneeds. Clients may attend weekdays for day programs or weekends forcommunity participation in programs that are appropriate to theindividual's level of disability and goals.Our Support workers engage with clients to development skillsthrough activities like cooking, music, craft, leisure sports,reading, singing any much more. The role The role of a Disability Support Worker, Day Programs, is toprovide support to our clients with a disability; with a strongfocus on developing the skills of each individual by enrichingtheir lives through creative activities that they can enjoy andparticipate in. We may also be required to provide in home supportsfor clients and this may require afternoon & night shifts. Essential Selection Criteria Australian Drivers LicenceFirst Aid certificate or the willingness to get one within theon boarding stageCurrent NSW Working with Children CheckNDIS Worker Screening CheckFlexibility to work within a service that provides DailycareCompetent with Microsoft Office suite particularly MS Word andMS Outlook.Covid 19 Vaccinations status including booster Desirable Criteria Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or equivalent.Demonstrated understanding in the National Disability InsuranceAgency (NDIA) processes.Mental Health First Aid.
